New York City
May 23-30, 2012

New York was the next city visited by the tall ships in the three-year national celebration commemorating the War of 1812 and the Star-Spangled Banner.

Fleet Week New York began with a parade of tall and military ships on the Hudson River. More than 6,000 Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen arrived in New York on six U.S. Navy ships, three U.S. Coast Guard cutters, and 12 coalition ships.

The theme, “Our Flag Was Still There,” will continue to mark the upcoming festivities in these ports: Norfolk (June 1 - 12), Baltimore (June 13 - 19), Boston (June 30 - July 5), and New London (July 6 - 8).
